This work was premiered in New Orleans in 2016 and the Chorale will be presenting the Australian premiere in March as part of the Territory Remembers Commemorations.
It is a reconciliation work, containing the traditional Latin text of the requiem, plus folk-songs of Japan, USA and Australia. It will be performed as part of the dedication of the Memorial Reflection Pool in the Peace Garden of the Darwin Uniting Church. For this concert a small string ensemble and a children’s choir will be joining us.
